OUR Story
Middleton Football Club is a Grass Roots Club based in Middleton, Manchester. Our club was founded by Craig and Martin with a simple ambition; to give back to children who enjoy playing football. From the beginning our goal has been to provide accessible, affordable and an enjoyable football experience for young players.
With the help of dedicated volunteers, supportive families, and enthusiastic players, our club has quickly taken shape. Training sessions have evolved into structured programmes, and matches are played in a number of leagues across Manchester.
We wanted to build more than just a club; we wanted to build a community where children of all ages and abilities can fall in love with the beautiful game. Every child is encouraged to learn at their own pace, express themselves on the pitch, and grow both as players and individuals. We focus on creating a safe, supportive environment where confidence thrives, friendships form, and the love of football comes naturally.
Today, our grassroots club continues to develop, offering training sessions, holiday camps, and competitive fixtures while keeping true to our values of fun, respect, teamwork, and opportunity.
Our Teams
Under 10s Greens
Our U10s Green team is an exciting new side, formed in the summer of 2025, and already showing great progress week by week.
Competing in the MYSL Saturday League, the team brings together enthusiastic young players who are developing their skills, confidence, and love for the game in a positive and supportive environment. Training focuses on teamwork, game understanding, and enjoyment, with matchdays providing the perfect opportunity to put learning into practice.
As a newly formed team, the U10s Greens are growing quickly- both in numbers and are proud to represent the club every Saturday. With committed coaches and passionate players, the future looks bright for this developing squad.

Under 10s yellows
The U10s Yellows are a newly formed team, created to compete at a slightly higher level within the MYSL Saturday League. Led by Gav and Laura, the team provides a strong development pathway for players ready to challenge themselves and take the next step in their football journey.
Training and matchdays focus on improving technical ability, game awareness, and teamwork, while maintaining a positive, supportive environment. Gav and Laura bring energy, commitment, and clear guidance, helping players grow in confidence and performance each week.

Under 12s SATURDAYS
The U12s Saturday teams have only been together a short while- yet they have already surpassed every expectation and shown they can compete at a high level.
For a newly formed team, the progress they have made in such a short space of time has been outstanding. The challenge now is to take that next step and perform consistently at the level their talent and potential is truly capable of.
This team is only at the very beginning of their journey. If they stay disciplined, committed, and continue to work for each other, there is no doubt that journey can take them right to the very top.

Under 12s sundays
The M.F.C Sunday team have really developed to their true level of their potential. Many of the players have been together for three seasons or more, and that shared journey is now clearly visible in their performances; with a strong understanding and togetherness evident on the pitch.
The team are heading in an extremely positive direction, and their commitment, attitude, and work ethic is show by every player week in, week out. They have been outstanding, and they continue to push each other to improve.
Watching this group develop over the years has been something to be proud of. They have gone from strength to strength, and there are high expectations moving forward for a team that represents themselves and the club in the right way at all times.
A fantastic group of lads and a real credit to Middleton F.C.
